sandy bio

I'm a product manager and UX designer based in San Francisco. Over the past eight years, I've enjoyed working across early stage startups, nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies.

I studied English and American studies at Wellesley, and my lifelong love for reading and writing heavily influences my creative process and how I solve problems. I approach design in much the same way as I approach writing: define the thesis / theme, know the audience, write an outline, conduct research, create the first draft, get feedback on it, create a new draft, and keep iterating until the final (or the deadline).

While I'm never quite satisfied at the end - whether the product is a short story, a new feature launch, or a redesign - that's also what drives me to keep creating, learning, and improving.

In the wild, you might find me with my nose buried in a new book, longingly gazing at bakery displays, or planning my next adventure.  I’m always open to opportunities to learn and work on new projects, so say hello!
